Christopher Polvoorde Podiums 3 Times at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO

Christopher Polvoorde was on a mission to put together a great race weekend out at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO. He started the weekend in 4th place in points for the championship and left MO in the 2nd spot!  Friday 8/21 - 2nd Place Finish On Friday for round 3 of LOORRS, Christopher started the day with the standard morning drivers meeting, track walk, then practice and qualifying in the afternoon. Qualifying took place the day before the race they qualified for (i.e. he qualified Thursday for Friday's race, Friday for Saturday's race and Saturday for Sunday's race). This is a slightly different schedule than normal where they qualify the day of race day. Christopher started the race in the 2nd spot in his Ford Ranger Pro Lite and didn't move too far off the pace. He battled with competitor and good friend, Ronnie Anderson, most of the race to hold on to the #2 spot while Brock Heger held on to a comfortable lead. Christopher and Ronnie put on a show for all the fans and ultimately Christopher regained and finished the race in 2nd place, wrapping up Round 3.

Saturday 8/22 - 2nd Place Finish Christopher started in the 3rd spot Saturday afternoon and shortly after the start, his hood flew up obstructing his vision for the first half of the race. He managed to maintain his position even with his vision problems. His spotter, Cory Kruesman, held it down being his eyes on the track. The last lap got wild where Christopher passed Heger for the 2nd spot then Heger took it right back leaving one last turn for Christopher to make his move to secure the 2nd position for Round 4! Another exciting finish for CP and the Pro Lite Class.

Sunday 8/23 - 3rd Place Finish Christopher had another great opportunity going into Round 5 with a 2nd place starting position. He ended up getting passed by Heger and then in the last half of the race he got spun out dropping way back in the pack with only about 2 laps to go. Christopher ended up working back up to 4th where he finished but due to a black flag on Cole Mamer in 3rd, Christopher advanced to the #3 spot finishing the weekend with a 3rd place trophy and more importantly 46 points towards the championship. "Man, we had a lot of good racing and so many good battles over the 3 day race weekend. It was a blast but we really had to work for it. The guys out there were not giving up much. Overall, I'm glad to have had a strong weekend out in Wheatland with 3 podiums. Of course I want to be on top of the box, but I'm happy with the solid points weekend for the championship!" -Christopher Polvoorde
