It was an exciting weekend in Victorville for the very first races of the Great American Shortcourse racing series! The series kicked off without a hitch and both live spectators and fans at home all loved the live stream. Great American Shortcourse utilizes Hammer King Productions for the live stream production. If you have ever watched any other Ultra 4 events, you know that Hammer King brings live race footage to your screen like no other off road production company. Qualifying Christopher had a great weekend of racing his STEEL-IT & Optima Batteries backed Ford Ranger Pro Lite at a track that was completely new to him and many others in his class. His Pro Lite was fast capturing the top qualifying spot on both days of racing. During Sunday's qualifying session, Christopher caught a rut in turn 4 flipping his truck, landing on his roof. Fortunately, nothing was seriously damaged and after being put back on all 4, Christopher pushed hard to secure the fastest lap once again. Inversion of 2 both days led Christopher to starting P2 on the front row.
Main Events
In both rounds, the races came down to the wire for the #1 spot. Christopher battled it out with Madix Bailey in some very exciting door to door racing! On the final lap of round 2, Christopher made a pass on Bailey in turn 3 but Bailey held the inside line into 4 keeping his #1 spot. Christopher tried to take the inside on the final turn when Bailey went to shut the door taking both trucks off the track on the in field. It was a wild finish to say the least with the whole crowd on their feet!
The line on the track was pretty narrow which didn't leave much room to get around Madix but it was fun duking it out on the track. Overall, I'm really happy to get a productive points weekend with 2 second place finishes under my belt for this first race weekend of the new Great American Shortcourse series.

Christopher Polvoorde was born on July 28th, 2000 and raised in the Racing mecca of Southern, CA. From a young age, Christopher had an adventurous spirit and a passion for the outdoors and racing. That passion leads Christopher’s life to this day where you can find him chasing sunsets year around on the hills of Mammoth Mt or the waters of the Colorado River. Surrounded by a team of Experts including Christopher’s father, Chip Polvoorde, who handles anything and everything, Crew Chief Jimmy Davidson who provides the fastest truck on the course week in and week out and driving coach Cory Kruseman who works with Christopher on his race craft and as his race spotter. With Christopher’s natural speed and a team like this, expectations are high. Christopher found success in a challenging 2020 season taking 2nd in the LOORRS Pro Lite Championship showcasing the team's continued determination to strive for greatness each and every race. In 2019 the CP94 team raced in both, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series and the Lucas Oil Midwest Short Course League where Christopher swept the whole series winning all 7 races and the additional Red Bull Pro Lite Championship race making it a perfect 8 for 8 in the Midwest. The future is bright for Christopher who takes it all in stride focusing on working hard and enjoying the ride.
